However, please keep in mind that just because you go to a Ivey or Queens does not guarantee you said job. A quick search on LinkedIn will show you that Ivey and Queens kids far outnumber any other Canadian schools combined at top investment banks or buy-side shops. These rankings have nothing to do with prestige but rather their alumni network and thus will generally not change. The rest “non-targets” have close to none. However, you’ll still find some students from “semi-target” schools like your McMaster, Laurier, and UofT. Many firms only target their recruiting from these two schools.
